Should I size up (?)

This is a medium! The sales associate said I was a true medium but I’m unsure if a large would be better, especially long term if the sweater shrinks! Pls lmk what you think, I’m super nervous on what I should do, thanks :) !!

Polo bear sweater sizing (?)

Hi all! :) I recently purchased my first polo bear sweater and I got a medium and it was a direct fit (anything smaller would be a big no) but I’m on here because I’d like some advice on if I should’ve gotten a large, incase it shrinks in the future. I’d love to know what others have done/ experienced with sizing through out the years, thanks :)
