Latest Returns... Bioshock & Oblivion

Finally hit my second 9.8 A++, this time with Bioshock (with a 9.4 Slipcover)...

Bummed the Oblivion got a 9.6, but still, a solid grade in my book. Do you think because the manual inside is visible from the front, that would be why it didn't get a 9.8? The rest of the box seemed so perfect.

Thanks for looking!

Sticker Removal? Opinions Needed.

Hey all,

Got a Half Life 2 that has a big sticker on the front.

If submitted as is, how does a sticker like this translate to a grade if the rest of the game is relatively clean? I see that because of the sticker, the seal is rippling around it... not sure if removing it would let the seal relax, or if it is just how it is.

If submitted to PSA, would you do the sticker removal option? Do it yourself? Or keep as is with sticker staying put?

Besides the sticker and the seal around it, the rest of the plastic is firm with no waves.

Thanks for the insights!

Do price stickers affect grades?

Hey all,
A sealed game I was interested in has an old KB Toys price sticker on it (with inked price, plus a handwritten price reduction on it). I think it's pretty cool as an added little fun memory type of thing - but was curious...

If sent in for grading, do price stickers negatively affect how a game is graded?

Thanks for the time!

PSA Return!

Hey all,

My PSA return just arrived. It took pretty much 1 month exactly - which was awesome!
All were games that I'd been looking for that I loved as a kid.

The Pokemon CIB was mine from childhood that I wanted encapsulated, as I vividly remember my dad buying it for me and how much I enjoyed looking at it in the car on the way home.

This submission has also been helpful to better understand what grades can look like for seals and even cases...

Example 1: The Spyro box being very solid with no cracks, but the seal was a bit scuffed - thus the B+ (which I was still happy with).

Example 2: Gears of War 2... while you can't tell in the pictures, if you look in the light, the back portion of the case is a little indented. Hence the 9.6... which I was also not completely offended by.

Example 3: CoD World at War... the bottom of the box seal has two tiny imperfections, hence the seal of A.

This was my first submission of games where I saw some imperfections beforehand, but wanted to see how they would grade to better my own understanding. Plus, I wanted them in my collection!

Thanks for looking! =)

*Update: I also just noticed that all my sealed games in this submission got placed in cases that still show WATA on the bottom, but my CIB game is in the new PSA branded plastic case.

PSA Pop Report (DVD Case)?

Hey all,

Curious... Is there a pop report through PSA regarding PC games in DVD cases?

I swore I've seen PC games graded through WATA/PSA as long as they are in the DVD cases (not big box). Is this still a thing? Or am I mistaken?

Thanks!

Legit Check on Pokemon Pearl (DS) - Is this Fake?

Hey there,
I just bought a Pokemon Pearl (Sealed) for DS and suspect it might be fake...

The holo print on the cover is different than my real Pokemon Diamond.

I also feel like the artwork on the front and back isn't as crisp as my Diamond.

Anyone have any insight on this?

Strongly considering sending it back to sender.

Thanks for the time!

What's your turnaround time been?

Just did a submission with PSA that was marked as "scanned" as of this past Monday... How long has it taken to get your games back recently for a standard submission with light cleaning?

Last submission I did maybe 6 months ago took 3-4 weeks to get back to me which was awesome! Hoping for the same for my latest.

Sending in Comics for Grading vs. CGC Drop Off?

Hey guys,
Wanting your opinion on the best way to submit comics for grading...

Sending it to CGC yourself (packaged, bubbled, etc)... or going to a drop off event where they handle all that themselves?

Worried that maybe they'd be mishandled by staff at a show, vs. being wrapped and sent off by me.

Thanks for the insight!
