I’ve been on Nexplanon for almost a year now! (F24) It honestly wasn’t bad for the first few months - some spotting here n there then I just stopped bleeding entirely (not even any cramps!) This was a lot for me because my period cycle before any birth control was the absolute worse. I’m talking heavy bleeding, cramping to the point I’m bed ridden, emotions through the roof, and severe nausea.

Coming up on my 9th month of having the implant, things are taking a turn and I’m starting to cramp again, my bleeding is very heavy, and the nausea and mood swings are coming back. It’s not as bad as my pre-birth control menstrual cycle but holy shit it’s getting there! I’m not sure if this is common, but I would like to know if I will go back to spotting / not feeling any period symptoms again.

I do have a confession though….. my boyfriend finishes in me 3/7 times we have sex. Does this contribute to anything I’m experiencing…….? It has come to the point that sometimes I will ask him to finish in me because I notice that it will stop my bleeding and cramps for a few days maybe even a week! But then it’ll come back 😭 I’m not trying to have him finish in me all the time just to stop my period!!! That is no good for my coochiecoo!!! But it’s literally the only thing that makes my body go back to normal again. I’m sorry but what is happening to me, babes I need help 😔
