Hello! I'm in the market for a smoke+sear that is either designed to be built/dropped in or can have the legs removed to serve the same purpose. Budget of up to 2k, but wouldn't be mad about saving money. Requirements:
- designed for or can be easily modified to be dropped into an outdoor kitchen
- easy access grease pan and hopper
- can get up to or above 700F.
- doesn't rust quickly - we live in Baton Rouge where humidity is basically 100% year round (not really but feels like it).
I have been cooking on a big green egg for 10 years. I love it but I find that the set up and cleaning time makes it more likely for me to just default to an easier cooking method.
