So I love the JC but I'm not sure about this bond measure. The way it is structured, more than half the $830 million bond goes to pay interest...! And it extends current property tax (doesn't 'raise', but extends existing increase on property taxes) for 30 years.

With many k12 schools in the area shrinking, it's confusing to me that we need a bond double the size of the last one. SRJC has two main campuses plus 3 centers (like mini campuses) and with demographics of k12 nationwide -but especially in this county- shrinking, does it make sense to invest nearly a billion to keep the college this big and spread out? Genuinely curious what others think.
