IM for low-end machines
One of the most important attributes when searching for a reliable instant messenger is how well it performs, even on older hardware.
I really disliked Discord because of how hefty the program was. I also didn't appreciate the large install size, the frequent upgrade demands, the lack of an offline mode, etc.
Can you recommend some good messengers that respect your device/computer performance?
Side-note: I've noticed even the websites can be insanely bloated. There's no need for it.
