First, we shouldn’t be happy with how our level of play has remanded us to the dungeon of “others receiving votes”. It should go without saying that I would prefer us ranked and undefeated. That being said

Reasons we should be glad we’re not ranked:

1. It’s where we deserve to be based on our current body of work. Be happy that, for all the times the pollsters get it wrong, they got this one right (as much as we might hate it)

2. We play better when we’re down. You don’t get a motto like “Hard to Kill” if you’re never wounded. Last year, our boys proved that when we’re playing to keep our playoff hopes alive, everyone else should be scared.

Our season ain’t over folks, so take your heart meds, buckle up, and BMFS.
