Legally owning and the ability to carry my deceased father's guns
My father passed late last year and it's that time where my family is figuring out what to do with the guns. He had a bunch of long rifles and shotguns and from my understanding I dont need to register or do anything besides keep them in my possession. Where my worries come in are his pistols. He has a glock 21 and another newer looking pistol. What exactly am I required to do so I legally own them and can carry the pistols if I get my license to carry. There is no will just my grandma telling me what I can and can't have and I wanna go about the process the right way so that the government won't try to mess up my life because I want to take care of my dad's guns and protect my family. Im not a prohibited person, im not a felon or have any charges (let alone a parking ticket).
