Sleeping at your Grandparents

Im not an native english speaker, so sorry if somethings wrong in my post.

Ive been seeing it a lot on my fy recently. Always with a slight comedy part, but there is something very real about it. I been visiting my grandparents a lot since i was a child and always had a strong bond to them. I really slept over a lot when i was young. They live in a smaller village in germany, a very quiet and calm rural area. A normal mid sized house, a big garden, which is linked to a field with a forest a few hundred meters away. And of course a typical grandparents Interieur. And yes, the loud refrigerator aswell. And not to forget a scary ass basement. So basically a good set for a horror movie. My grandma always was a spritual person and they are christians aswell. The house always had very calming and protective energy to me, really special to me. But that really changed often at night, as you always felt watched and you always got that you are not alone feeling. I swear that going to the fridge at night to drink something was not normal, i never felt that unsafe in my whole life, as you had to go downstairs and just try to not shit yourself. I think i even peed myself one time because i didnt want to go out, as i was too scared😭. Apart from shadows and my own mind playing tricks, i swear i can remember seeing sillouettes in the dark and things moving in the corner of my eyes as i was focusing on drinking as fast as i could. I really think that this is some universal experience many people had, but i hope we can all agree that something is always wrong at your grandparents house. For me it always was a high energy place, but not only with things that might be friendly. Kind of a mix.

Summerholidays started, its a warm summer night and you arrive at the airport. Leather, cleaning chemicals, kerosene and the "holiday smell", what fits well? Maybe Dior Fahrenheit?
