That red bull tifo....

Showed that even the fans weren't thinking about the team that was on the field sunday. So sad.

For folks new to MLS

There was a flurry if "new to nycfc/mls" folks that post here right after the world cup.

I had wanted to share some good resources that keep me going with the game.

For local ,NYCFC stuff, I know thst a lot of folks will tell you about podcasts from Blue Balls and others. Hudson River Blue is a blog site that follows the team. Chopped Cheese fc is a superfan big on IG.

For MLS wide knowledge, I again suggest the Tuesday weekly broadcast of The Total Soccer Show podcast. I also suggest following writer Joe Lowry at Backheeled.com. Matt Doyle who used to write for the mlssoccer.com site is at tacticsfreezone on ig, and is part of the soccer wise podcast.

Hope that these help.

Midweek matches in Etihad Park are going to be half empty

I get it.

Leagues cup doesn't hit every one with excitement, I understand.

Outside of that, and folks having things in their lives that cant be negotiated I dont understand last night's attendance.

Dont start with the NJ thing, please. A bunch of yall sit on a train to go the the bronx for 40 minutes. And also have no issue with hiking to jersey for hudson river derby time to take over that stadium.

Midweek LA matches see folks driving through brutal rush hour traffic to fill a stadium in Carson on a Wednesday.

And I have been to regular season matches at Harrison and found it mostly empty. So it's not just Leagues.

Is the soccer passion just still not here?

All Star Game

One from the home team(Matt).

One from the Red Bull(Julian).

Has Julian held form long enough to be considered?

I can shake that red card and bad start from my mind when thinking about Creapeu making it.

Liverpool v Wrexham in "our" house

Weird to see other soccer there, but hey. Here we are.

Remember when the Yankee announcers uses to complain about how soccer was ruining their field? Two matches before they come back is a different time. Can nycfc complain if the field doesn't look prepared before Friday night?

Will the stadium be fully opened? If so, unfortunately there will be jokes about it being that full.

We know you ain to please"

Or any other corny song sung over and over this Saturday. They are booing him loudly in Ohio.

Get out of your phones and stand up for your guy.
