If you've been inactive in the game for a while, or haven't heard the news yet, everyone is getting a free hundo mewtwo with background. You can check the events tab in the game.
It will not flee so you can use a regular pokeball, great or ultra ball.
There’s also a free masterball.
The free 100% mewtwo is available until September 6, 2026 local time.
