Help! Algaecide caused algae bloom?
I had a ton of hair algae that was overwelming a lot of my coral and manual removal didnt really help, so i tried dosing microbe-lift algaway 5.4. After the second dose the tank became very cloudy the next day, it was a white cloudy, not green how it is now with the lights off, I didnt do a third dose, and instead did 2, 30 gallon water changes, the tank is 130g, and the sump is 55g. No change, just got more cloudy, then it turned green. Im currently doing a 77g water change, and plan to do another asap, once i make more saltwater, RODI is slow at ~50g per day. I'm wondering if maybe adding more algaecide would help get rid of this cloudiness or algae bloom, or what should I do? This is the first time using algaecide in 5 years of reefing.
