The Bucs coaching staff has a lot of confidence in Jalon Daniels.
Daniels is in good hands as Zac Robinson has experience adapting his playcalling for a young QB on the fly after the Falcons had both Kirk Cousins and Michael Penix Jr. start multiple games during his tenure.
Mike Evans had 6 catches for 49 yards and a TD in his 49ers debut. All 6 receptions resulted in either a first down or touchdown.
Evans reached six catches just ONCE in seven games for the Buccaneers last season. Kyle Shanahan put on a coaching clinic, and the way he utilized Evans tonight makes his misusage last season in Tampa Bay even more frustrating.
Quite the indictment against Josh Grizzard, and hopefully Zac Robinson does a better job leaning on the Bucs playmakers this year…
Every Buccaneers waiver claim, as well every player returning to Tampa Bay via the practice squad will be tracked here.
Buccaneers INITIAL 53-man roster along with analysis.
Expect the team to keep tinkering with the roster in the coming days, especially to address the safety room where they shockingly decided to keep only one backup.
Would you welcome back SMB? 65 career starts and 9 INT in four seasons with the Bucs. Experience playing the nickel and could add a great veteran presence/mentor for the young secondary, particularly rookie Keionte Scott.
I apologize if there’s already a roster cut tracker pinned in here!
Baker Mayfield already stated he had Week 2 against the Browns circled on his calendar.
It just got even more personal as he gets the chance to go head-to-head with Deshaun Watson, who the Browns chose over him.
12 instant takeaways as the Bucs improve to 2-0 this preseason, with both games being comebacks from at least nine points down!
Chase McLaughlin has made 90% of his field goals in a Bucs uniform, making him the most accurate kicker in franchise history.
Last season, he led all kickers in accuracy from 50-plus yards.
He’s a weapon, and the Buccaneers should prioritize re-signing him.
Would you want the Buccaneers to pull the trigger on any of these 3 trade packages, or opt to keep Vea in Tampa Bay for the 2026 season?
Baker Mayfield told ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler that the Bucs only offered him a 2-year deal, and they were “pretty far” from the $50 million benchmark.
Disappointing development, and frankly, he has every right to feel disrespected.
The Buccaneers still hold all of the leverage to make Vita Vea play out the 2026 season in Tampa Bay.
Unless Jason Licht is absolutely blown away by an offer, moving Vea shouldn’t even be a consideration.
Todd Bowles made a startling admission that explains why Antoine Winfield Jr. didn’t have the impact we’ve become accustomed to last season.
Bowles needs to put Winfield in a better position to make plays and dictate games, rather than asking him to play cleanup duty.
Mayfield is giving Crosby fits! Pretty cool to hear about our QB from one of the NFL’s best pass rushers.
What were the top 10 free-agent signings, draft picks, and coaching hires made by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this offseason?
Vita Vea is the anchor of the Bucs defense, and he’s seeking a substantial pay raise. As he enters his age-31 season, with the Bucs having a slew of other key impending free agents (Baker, Diaby, Mauch), should the Bucs consider trading Vea — rather than letting him walk for free next offseason — if they ultimately decide against extending him?
Jacob Rodriguez is a star in the making in Miami, and his turnover creating ability is already translating at OTAs.
I know the Bucs are happy with Josiah Trotter, but it’s hard not to wonder “What If?”
The most likely scenario remains Baker Mayfield re-signing in Tampa Bay. But what if he doesn’t?
