Are there two versions of the 2021 Dune movie, or am I losing it?
I was watching 2021 Dune for probably the 60th time last night, and suddenly it didn't feel like the Dune I know and love. There were shots I swore I've never seen before. I've literally streamed DUNE twice this week, but suddenly it's different, yet I everything online is saying there's only one version of this film. I understand Imax will have different aspect ratios, but this was a longer take with new shots. I didn't say anything to my wife and said watch this scene. She immediately said WTF I've never seen these shots, where did you find an extended cut. Anyway, I'm sure the top comment will be like "there's two versions idiot, here's what they are", which would be great, I just want the other version back, this one isn't as good. Attached is an example of a shot I've never seen, that VFX ball worm spotter "drone", is new to mine and my wife's eyes.
