The hard plastic side panel on my child’s car seat headrest has cracked and separated from the foam padding underneath (see photo). You can see broken plastic pieces where it split.

What’s the best way to glue/repair this so it holds up long-term? What kind of adhesive works well on this stiff plastic (looks like ABS)? Any tips on technique — clamping, prepping the surface, etc. — to get a strong, durable bond?
