Can someone be brutally honest with me about working in UX?

Background about me, I completed Designlab back in 2023 but stepped away from applying because I started a family. Fast forward to now, I am thinking about applying again but the industry has changed so much with AI. I know that UX isn’t always about designing screens and making things look pretty because there’s research, defending your designs, company limitations etc…. As a person who would like to be more creative in her career, would this be a good fit or would I be disappointed?

Reason I ask is because I have been seeing some people say creativity has a ceiling because there’s majority of it is already set by the company standards. Some even say it’s more meetings and a data driven role. I honestly just want to be realistic and smart about my next pivot. Any insight would be appreciated!

What do you do with fake Pandora charms?

I bought two charms from Etsy that were marketed as authentic Pandora charms and when I received them, I knew they were fake from the way the ALE was engraved (very shallow), edges were bumpy and the material is thin. Pretty upsetting and I feel a certain way having them on my bracelet. How do I get over this? Haha. They still have meaning to me but I wish they were real.
