Placed in Forbearance During IDR Review
Hi all, looking for some insight on this- I was notified that I was due to recertify for IDR which I submitted on May 20th. I then initiated my May payment of $276 on May 26th.
On May 28th, I received an email stating that as of May 25th, I have been placed on 60 day forbearance and that I will still receive credit towards PSLF.
My payments are now showing to be reinstated and due on July 26th.
As I was given 60 days, I’m inclined to request a refund of my May payment since it fell within the forbearance period? Has anyone been in a similar situation? If so, what was the result?
