I bought a new Samsung S95F 65inch OLED TV and have been looking to upgrade the sound system.

I do not want to go for a soundbar.

I’m hoping to connect it to amplifier with HDMI-ARC or HDMI-eARC that works with it and connect them to my passive Q Acoustics 3020c speakers.

I have tried and returned a set of WiiM Amp. I could not get it to recognise. I only just found out recently there is a notoriously hard to find (or Samsung has just updated the firmware) setting called CEC (Samsung calls it Anynet+) but it was already turned on anyway when I setup the WiiM Amp.

I am now running the speakers from the optical out from the TV to a Project Audio Stereo Box E. Modest setup and is not ideal as I need a separate remote to control the sound.
