I made a free, offline app that turns any phone or tablet into a controller for your golf sim

Hey all,

I'll throw my hand into the ring of "a touchscreen controller for your sim setup".

I know there are already a few tools in this space but I thought it would be a fun coding project to make something that worked the way I wanted, and since I'm not charging for it, I figured I'd put it out there in case it helps someone else. A few things I focused on:

  • Free. No account, no license, nothing to buy.
  • Fully offline. It runs entirely on your own network — no cloud, no login, it doesn't phone home. (It checks GitHub once a day to see if there's a new version, and it works completely fine if you block even that.)
  • Nothing to install on your devices. The PC runs the hub; your phone or tablet just opens a browser. Connect as many devices as you want.
  • Saved profiles/layouts. Build different button layouts and switch between them.
  • Fully-customizable. Add and move buttons wherever, change their size, label, and color. Make it as spacious or dense as you like.
  • Multiple pages per layout. Flip between pages instead of cramming everything onto one screen.
  • App targeting. A profile can point at a specific program so it auto-focuses that window before sending input — so your taps always land where they should. It ships with a GSPro-targeted layout that includes some built-in macros you can drop onto a page and play around with.
  • Macros. Record clicks, keypresses, and delays to automate menu-diving and repetitive stuff behind a single button. You can even change the controller's page from a macro. For example: You can have a menu page in your layout with buttons to go into local or online play, or practice then have the macro switch to your gameplay page so you can control your aim, clubs, etc.
  • Themes. A few to pick from, if you're tired of staring at green.
  • Import/export. Share a profile with a buddy as a file, or load one someone else made.

I don't have a fancy homepage or domain for this so you can always grab the latest release here:

If you try it, I'd love to hear what you think about it and I'm happy to answer any questions in the comments.

P.S. - The app targeting is pretty cool. I was playing Fortune Mill the other day on Steam and created a layout for that game with some macros to save my poor wrists from the Gacha game near the end... iykyk.
