Looking for a job is a full-time job itself

I’ve been unemployed and actively looking for a job for about a month now. Let me tell you, it’s terrible. For context, I only apply for jobs which I have the competence for or simply similar to what I’ve been doing the past years. I work in administration.

First of all, the only thing keeping me up is I do get interviews almost every week (which is not that glorious because I apply to a lot of jobs to maximize my chances). The process? Each company make me do at least 2 interviews. First one is always by phone and about 30-45 minutes and then if they’re interested, I get an in person meeting which is always an hour. They all asking the same questions. All expecting almost the same thing and despite the good feedback after the interviews, I’m never the one selected.

There was this company i applied to, they « liked » my profile so much after the first interview, THEY OFFERED me two positions. Just to finally get a call saying they’ll move forward with someone else. This was the most frustrating one. Because you’re telling me YOU offered me something I did not apply for and somehow I still wasn’t good enough?? Alright.

I’m frustrated because I know it’s not a competence issue. Or maybe it is and no one’s telling me lol?? Im just getting tired of interviews. Tired of repeating myself. Tired of even making efforts. It got to a point where I go to the interview and I don’t even expect to get call for a good news. I’m becoming numb. This is the job market.

I don’t even know what to think anymore. My last interview (in person after I did a first one otp), was so short I didn’t even know if it was a good or bad sign.
I was just happy they cut it short because if I’m not getting accepted, might as well not make me waste another hour of my life.
