Gotcha!
Going back and beating the bosses all over again is proving quite satisfying.

Going back and beating the bosses all over again is proving quite satisfying.
Is it just me, it was it a little more challenging running that biome the second time around?
On a side note, with a reaping chakram at level 35 and above, King is no longer a challenge. 🤷
I was a fan of Saros before the game even came out, having played Returnal for a couple of years. I only just started playing again when my adult son bought me a PS5 for Father's Day a few years ago. Unfortunately, because it had been at least 25 years since I last actively played, my skill level was not up to par and I consistently needed my son's help with the bosses to finish the game, so I got no satisfaction in completing it.
Fast forward to this past spring when Saros arrived, and because Returnal remains in my inventory as a consistent time killer, I took the plunge. Because I work full time, and have a wife and kids, like Returnal, my time was limited to learn gameplay, but my skill level has improved vastly. Last night, I beat King, finished the game, and started a victory lap with all the biomes that will let me in.
My biggest problem was the length of time I waited to start using the Reaping Chakram as my primary weapon (Disripstor is my favorite alt), as I had become over-reliant on the smart rifle for most of gameplay until the second to last biome. Once I took the time out to understand the mechanics of the chakram, the game got EASY and I started rolling over bosses like nobody's business. Despite being a tad bleak, that was one of the most satisfying finishes/endings I've had since Doom the Dark Ages, and exploring the biomes after a full win and with all your upgrades is FUN. You're really just treasure hunting at that point.
I currently plan to go back to Returnal and finish it on my own (since there are evidently alternate endings). My skill level is finally there again. Saros will live in my library as long as I have a PlayStation.
