Hello! I (32F) just moved to Tokyo and I'm trying to make friends with people who speak Japanese so I can learn the language and also feel less lonely. I moved here with my SO but they work a lot and have their own social circle here that they'd like to keep separate. I really want to connect with people but am finding it difficult. I only speak English and have trouble approaching people and also maybe give off a "do not approach" vibe but I'd love to find people to go to cafes or the park with.
