Made some stupid, preventable mistakes along the way (big interior catch + it came loose from jam chuck). Ultimately able to recover and finish without breaking it! Woooo!

I’ve got a rough turned piece of spalted beech. Tear out is inevitable on such punky wood. Here we go!

Spalted and punky beech with my second fav foot design (fav is no foot).

Discovered that anything this punky doesn’t fair well with two turning. Tends to pull itself apart dramatically if I let it dry very long. Have two 14x5” wool sealed, rough turned bowls I gotta get to next.
