have two balances: one for southwest and one for Chase freedom unlimited that total 4,958. for context im in PA school with no income and can’t keep up with my MMI payments anymore. so going to ask Chase to settle for 1,200 when i get my semester refund. what are the things i need to ask for in writing to limit the hit on my credit report? thank you

Wrapped up my first semester this week and not very happy with the outcome. Does it really get better?
