I bought this small acer at the start of this year, repotted it in a slightly larger pot than it came in, keeping the original soil with the addition of general compost.

It can be quite windy in my area, and I've tried to choose a location which is a compromise of a little shelter from the wind, but still with plenty of sunlight.

It doesn't seem to have grown much if at all since I got it, and recently some of the leaves have begun to wilt. We did have a freak hail shower the other week and I speculated it may be due to that, but I'm very new to gardening and could do with the opinion of someone with more experience than myself, which is probably everyone 😂
