Trying to fix what I believe is a broken pump

I moved back home from college and my parent’s pool is disgusting. I’d like to fix it myself without them having to spend a ton of money. I believe it’s an issue with the pump. It not almost definitely something with the plumbing.

Here’s the “tests” I’ve run/ important information:
-the pool water drains to just below the skimmer overnight. Both with and without the pump running
-the water does not drain at all when the skimmer drain/ suction hole (below the skimmer basket) is plugged
-water starts to seep out of the base of the cartridge filter housing when the pump is running. Some also leaks out of the top (see attached photo- I’ve circled where water leaks)

If anyone knows what could be causing this or other tests I can do to help diagnose the issue I would appreciate any help. Thank you!

Food safe bowl with tung oil and carnauba wax finish

Just getting back into turning and I want to make food safe bowls. I just bought 100% tung oil and was planning on using that then adding a layer of carnauba wax. I saw that tung oil takes a month to fully cure. Does that mean I need to wait a month before putting the wax on? Will “friction polishing” the oil make it cure faster?

People are so rude for no reason

I use Google Maps for my navigation so that I can use it with CarPlay (just changed to in app to see if it’s any better) and sometimes it takes me to a random building in the apartment complex. When I realized I started heading towards the correct building and confirmed with the customer. Checked the messages after delivering and saw this.

The order was $10 for around $4 and two orders. No surprises the other order had an $8 tip and her order had a $0 tip. I hate when customers are rude and obviously unhappy with their life
