It’s finally warm enough in the NE US to take pancake out for excursions! He spend the better part of two hours in the warm sun and even a little spring rain shower.

I brought him back inside twice— once because the sprinkles urned to downpour and the second time because I needed to go do other things. Both times he flailed his limbs and looked extra grumpy and peed on me. I now know what you all are talking about when you talk about a tortoise temper tantrum. 🤣🤣🤣

He was left in a box at the door of the local Herp rescue and spent several months in foster, but is now in his forever home! My six year old niece has already decided that she is going to inherit him from me. 🤣

He has MBD (pyramiding) from improper husbandry, but we have a great vet who loves torts., and we have hope that proper care will turn his health around!

He’s in a bioactive enclosure and I wouldn’t want it any other way! It smells like a garden and is as close as I can come to the Amazon jungle in North Eastern US.
