One week in and I’m in the best control of my life

Used venting bc there isn’t a positive flair? Mods please correct me if I’m wrong!

I’m in love! My TIR has been 90%, the pump is so small and easy to hide in my clothes, and generally it’s been so easy to use.

Definitely a different feeling from t:slim and Medtronic but I’ve been a t1 for 30 years and so far this is the best pump I’ve been on. I’m excited to get the eversense in August too!

Does anyone use a sugar pixel or glowcose?

I’m used to having a screen on my pump that I can check my BG at night and have been looking into a sugar pixel. Does anyone else use one? Have you liked it? Was there any problems setting it up?

Best body glue?

I know this isn’t exactly what this sub is for but I’m hoping you amazing people have a recommendation! I’m a t1 diabetic and need a good body safe glue to affix my new pump to my body! I can buy very expensive double sided tapes from them for $4 a day.

I was looking at body tapes and glues and think the glue will be a more affordable option. I’m looking at MIILEY body adhesive and was wondering if anyone had used it?

Or if anyone has recommendations for a heavy duty body glue that would last all day! I’m fully aware that clothes aren’t a pump but I can try several things before I’ve spent as much as I would using the branded tapes! Thank you so much!

Does the twist app not have wigits but the insight app does?

Just got out of training, was told the insight app is for followers to receive updates. My partner has wigits but my app doesn’t? Isn’t that backwards?

Do I have I have two accounts and both apps in order to have my BG on my phone screen?? Surely I’m incorrect?

Any else on Metformin HCL and can’t use edibles anymore?

Been using edibles for a long time, recently started metformin and now edibles seem to not work at all for me! Wondering if any other diabetics have had a similar experience!

Ok, I’ve just finished Unperfect by Susie Tate and just had this feeling stuck in my chest. This book was probably the third in a row where the MMC has felt he’s owed the details of the FMC’s trauma. My own experiences might be clouding my judgement and I’m so curious to hear others take on this!

Ok, spoilers below for unperfect ahead galore.

the good guy, is thick and I can forgive that. He can’t put together what literally all the women in his life had basically told him that the FMC was a victim of DV.

He asks her three separate times what happened to her (in the context of her shoulder being fucked up) but that’s all he’ll ask her? He never tries any other way of asking how to help her. He hires a freaking private investigator??? To find out about her past. There’s not really a time where he talks to her like a peer, rather than someone damaged and needs fixing.

It’s an overarching pattern in so many of these, the poor woman needs a big strong man to trample her boundaries because he knows better. The big strong man will be able to understand her trauma better than she can and fix her. The big strong man just needs her to stop being so smol and silly and tell him so he can fix it all magically and send a billionaire to prison for ten years???

I really need to go back to sapphic romances, I think I’m just angry *at men*
