I approve of this smell.

Hm, I'm detecting notes of oak, slight undertones of hickory with a delicious piney lingering aftersmell. Overall, I approve of this plant. Human slaves, do yourselves a favor—I will permit you this just this once—and smell of this living vegetation.

For my three cats, I use bentonite-based litter in their litter-boxes (Van Cat). I tried many other varieties, including wood-based, silicone-based, paper-based etc, but with those, the pee smell eventually stinks up my tiny apartment. Bentonite is the only thing that keeps the smell in and lasts a reasonable amount of time.

However, bentonite comes with a completely different annoyance: the cats track tiny bentonite grains right into my bed as they come to burrow under a blanket, as some pellets will inevitably stick to their paws, and it makes my bed like a bad sand beach.

How do you cope with that?! Is that a problem for anyone else? I keep scratching in my sleep because of all the prickly, itchy little bentonite grains. Airing the linens helps of course, but I'd rather not have to do that every 2-3 days.

Please advise!
