I’m staying in Shanghai from 9-13th October prior to going to Beijing via high speed train from 13th-18th October. I’m planning a side trip to Hangzhou mainly as a city escape to see the tea fields. Is it better to remain based in Shanghai & do a day trip out to Hangzhou say on 11th or 12th October? Or is it better to stay overnight in Hangzhou 12th October & then catch the high speed train to Beijing from there?
Hello! I need some advice about how to structure this party of my October trip.
I’ll be arriving in Chengdu from Xi’An on a Tuesday afternoon & staying 4 nights.
On the Saturday I plan to travel to Chongqing in the afternoon to arrive in time for the drone show.
Somewhere between this whilst in Chengdu I would like to take a side trip to Dujingyuan / Mt Qingcheng.
Would I be better off super early & trying to cram in visiting the panda valley, exploring Mt Qingcheng & then checking out the irrigation area.
Or staying overnight & doing say Qingcheng/Irrigation the first day, then panda valley the second early morning before heading back. And which night - is it feasible to move onto Chongqing from Dujingyuan?
Also is a taxi a better option given traffic in Chengdu - or public transport?
