What next?
Recently ripped up some old carpet in my basement office to find that the entire concrete floor was covered in glue holding the carpet down. I was expecting tack strips and maybe a few spots here and there but I'm not so lucky.
We're planning on putting lvp flooring in after we patch up and level out the concrete with some self leveling compound. My wife and I already scraped the top layers but I think this is going to need something more to expose bare concrete to make sure we have everything bonded well.
The picture is where it's currently at. Do I go for some type of solvent to get the glue up before grinding or just rent a concrete grinder from home Depot since that's where it's probably headed anyway?
If I get a solvent for the glue what do you all recommend?
