New Intern at ASML - How does the future look like?

Hi everyone!

I'm an expat who recently moved to the Netherlands.

A bit of context: I have been job hunting for a year and a half. But, you know how the market works: they want a junior with 2 years of experience, but they won't give you the opportunity to get that experience. So, I moved out of my country, hoping for a better future. I applied and applied, interviewed and interviewed and, after applying to over 100 different positions, and being ghosted by most of them (I came here by the end of June, so I guess that the timing was a bit bad, as it was right in the middle of summer and everything was pretty slow), I decided to go for internship offers.

Since then, I have received many different offers, from both internships and normal jobs. However, even though the normal jobs do pay a living, none of them are ASML.

I do not want to romanticize the company, but I think I'm not far from right when I say that this company will make my CV much stronger than any other (plus, commuting is way easier compared to the other offers I had).

So, here I am. I'm starting my internship in a couple weeks, and I'm beyond excited to start my professional journey in such a big, tech-based company.

However, I do fear that after the internship I will get a 'thanks' and that's it. I really want to convert this into a full time job, for both my financial and mental stability. It's been such a long time that I've been looking for this, to strengthen my professional profile, and now I feel like I might mess everything up and leave with nothing.

Ex-interns, how did the future look for you? Current employees, do you think it'd be a possibility for me to grow within the company and turn my initial internship to a full time role after it's done?

And people in general, if you do have any advice for me, I'd deeply appreciate it. I'm pretty scared, my imposter syndrome is kinda kicking in, and I would love to hear different insights and opinions on it.

Thanks in advance!
