As the title reads, we have unfortunately finally been found by the scamming and reselling communities.

As you can imagine, the Pokémon community themselves are not truly responsible for what happened to their market. Everything was very calm and quiet for them and they were easily able to master set until a situation arose in which people found that they could swarm stores, buy all of their stock, and resell them for profit.

This idea generated back around quarantine time when getting a job first became hard in this economy. Getting a job has not gotten easier, albeit, and thus the trend has continued.

If you see a scammer posting for outrageous prices, do not engage in any way, shape, or form. They are typically extremely aggressive, as this is often their only source of income. If they have a regular source of income, it only contributes to the idea that they do this out of pure greed. Most of them have never seen My Little Pony and do not care about the community or the community's interests.

Yes, they usually throw away the cards that they don't consider "hits" good enough to resell at extremely inflated prices. This is very frustrating for real collectors who aren't able to find packs on shelves anymore. It is a waste of good product that someone else could have enjoyed, and continues to support the idea that they are only in it for greed and money, not passion.

When you are selling your hits for typical prices, I would try to keep it limited to offline platforms, like Discord. If you post your cards on websites like eBay, they will snatch them up at fair prices and repost them for disgusting, heavily inflated prices in order to keep driving the market upward and expand their profit margins. This practice, as well as bidding on their own listings, is a contributor to how Pokémon's market got so out-of-control so quickly. Allowing these people to corner the market and take everyone's hits only gives them more control over it.

This is inevitable, unfortunately. As we continue to see new releases, especially on the TCG side, this behavior will continue and grow worse. This all began with the official release of Fantasy Wonderland, as they likely saw it on shelves when swinging by to pick up the other products they rip and resell.

The same thing goes for unopened product. A common practice that has been observed in Chinese Kayou markets is resealing and reselling. That behavior is why you should only ever purchase from trusted sources, like myprismatcg or kayouhk. You will not get resealed or faked product, 100% guaranteed, from either of these sources. There are more sources I imagine, but these are the main two.

For US products, do not buy random boxes or packs you see on websites like eBay or Mercari. Some resellers just take all of the product off the shelf and list it for a higher price instead of opening it. Sometimes they will weigh the packs, remove all of the heavy-hitters, and resell the ones they know have nothing good in them for MSRP or higher.

It is always a good idea to get your product from trusted sources only. In-store at places like GameStop, Target, Best Buy, Walmart, and I'm sure there are other places, including trusted local card shops.

Online, you can always find them on KayouUS's website, KayouUS's TikTok Shop, CrossingTCG's website, CrossingTCG's TikTok Shop, and any official retailers that have been appointed as trusted by the community. Personally, I look toward StonesTradingCo. I'm sure there are plenty more other users will add in the comments!

I am sorry that our passion is slowly becoming more inaccessible for the people that truly enjoy it and is becoming a "quick buck" scheme for people who don't care about it. I truly hope this blows over soon.

Hello everypony!

Another new update a lot of you have been seeking. Sometimes it's hard to find what set a card comes from, and I know many of you have complained about having to dig through sets to find them.

In your ISO, tap "VIEW ALL CARD CODES" to toggle the code for every card available on the website. From there, type in the code on your card. To look up the diamond symbol (◇), simply type in "<>" and it will automatically turn into ◇. The same rule applies for the reference mark (※) in TCG. Typing in a "#" will automatically turn into ※.

It will show you every card on the website that contains that symbol if you simply type in the symbol. This is for people who have a random card that doesn't make sense, like people who get their hands on an INT01, INT02, or INT03 card and have no idea where it came from. You can now just simply look it up. It will show you the card, show you the code, and tell you exactly what set it came from.

If you look up a card that does not exist on the website, that means it is not a North American English card. I see a lot of confusion regarding that too. MLPEKayou is a website that is meant for American-English collectors, and our card codes differ from Chinese or SEA cards (most of the time) despite the card being the same rarity from identical sets.

Hello everypony! After several weeks of slaving over my computer writing code, making endless mistakes, crashing out several times, and living off Taco Bell, I have finally published the newest update! The entire interface has been changed top to bottom.

There is such a large amount of new features that I had to make a new category in the MLPEKAYOU Discord server with channels explaining the changes to every page. If you are interested in learning what's changed, you can find the link in your profile sidebar when you log in that leads to the Discord!
