getting a little discouraged

I'm in southern California, I'm finding out people don't even get into ABSN programs, nor ADN programs with the high grades that they have, including GPA.

I'll be honest, I have 2 F's (one from intermed alg and one from sociology 1), repeated sociology 1 and received a C. Otherwise just a lot of W's... overall GPA as it stands right now is about 2.8! This is a cumulative from 3 different community colleges. I only have one GE to take which is ethnic studies which I'm taking right now.

Recently went back to school, I'm at Crafton Hills, and now, I'm currently taking STATS along with a missing Gen Ed (ethnic studies), and so far I have A's. I also received an A in General Psych (2016).

In the Spring, I'll be taking a CNA class (weekends mostly), and A&P 1. Then I have summer and fall to complete the rest of my science pre-reqs, granted that I do very well on all of these anticipated classes!

So let's assume I get straight A's for all my upcoming science courses, that put's me at:

pre-req GPA: 4.0

overall/cum GPA: 3.12

And, of course I have to get a high score on the TEAS.

PLAN: get my CNA cert, find a job as an ER tech, continue taking pre-reqs, apply to nearby nursing school programs (mostly ADN). Also, I'm currently volunteering in the ED at a local hospital too.

I guess I'm looking to far into it, but I like to plan things. What's the worst case scenario? LVN school if I don't get in? or should I do the ADN program at ACC? I'm just a realist, and I like to look at the bigger picture for the foreseeable future. Be nice! any thoughts?
