I just installed the Luxe bidet 185 plus on my toilet. The first photo is the bidet installed with the regular hinges, and the second photo is the bidet installed with the special tall hinges. Is the gap on either of these ok, or do I need toilet bumpers or a different toilet seat?

I noticed a crack at the base of the toilet and requested maintenance. The landlord will not replace the toilet because they believe the crack is not serious enough and they can replace it when I move out (which will be in three weeks). Is this toilet safe to use until then? It seems to be a fracture and is not leaking.
