I’ve picked a solicitor that we want to use and are sorting our mortgage tomorrow with the mortgage advisor in the afternoon.
Should I contact the solicitor in the morning and instruct them or can I do that after seeing the mortgage advisor?
Is there a real order to do this?

We (husband and I) are currently in the process of viewing properties and have found one we love and want to put an offer in.
I have an AIP from online, just because we wanted a rough idea before we started looking what we could be accepted for.
My question is - how do you pick a mortgage advisor? We met with one when we went into an estate agent (not the one who has the house we love), a friend recommended one but he’s quoted us more than he charged her and a mortgage advisor based in the estate agent who has the house we want is calling us tomorrow for an initial call.
Are we best waiting until we’ve got a mortgage advisor in place before putting an offer in? We are going to view the property on Saturday morning again with our parents.
