For background and context (and so you know I come in good faith) … I grew up in rural south Georgia in a Conservative and Christian family, and held very Conservative beliefs myself.
As I’ve raised my own family and moved to various places (albeit more liberal ones- first FL, but then MA, CA, CO), my own views have shifted which I don’t think is that unusual.
My extended family is all Conservative, and some - especially on my in law side - is MAGA. For the last six years or so (since the pandemic), I have discussed everything under the sun with my Conservative family, but very increasingly not been able to do the same with my MAGA family, whom I suspect have grown even further right recently (although I don’t know for sure.) This is probably due to a combination of age and media exposure to one source only.
I can give examples if necessary but I didn’t want this to devolve into a political debate.

I find myself avoiding conversations and even gatherings with them and I fully assume they do the same with me. But with my Conservative family members who vehemently are NOT MAGA - we have the same relationships we always have.
I am curious if any of you have experienced anything similar? There is so much discourse and many articles written about “OH MY GOD THE LEFT CANNOT TOLERATE REPUBLICANS” but in my experience it’s so much more nuanced than that. (And my tag is correct, I truly do consider myself Center if I lean only slightly Left.)

I am mostly interested in if, and how, MAGA has affected relationships within Conservative families.

I have an older dog and we got her at 8 weeks and she was NEVER a bitey land shark like this puppy!!! Studying with a few friends taking UBE states in July, and it's fracking ridiculous that we have to learn California distinctions in so many subjects. I am struggling extra hard because I did not go to a CA law school. I didn't even know what community property WAS at the beginning of this year. Just in my feels today.
