Hi , do you think it’s possible to get subfloor insulation installed in this space under master bedroom? Or any other options? Bedroom has humidity of between 65-80% , I was hoping insulation would help keep moisture out
Also currently the bedroom has carpet , I was thinking of changing to solid wooden floors , will I need to keep the trap door ?
Hello! New home owner and trying to figure everything out !
I’m looking to get some renovation work done (bathroom + laundry renovation) and being asked about underfloor access … I searched around the property and couldn’t find any door access outside but found this under the carpet. It seems to be nailed shut with the carpet boarder strip.
I’m not sure how deep it is under the floor , do I need to get a tradie to come out and check or what should I be doing here ? I would also like to get underfloor insulation/ vapour barrier installed at some point…
Also in future I would like to replace the carpet with wooden flooring , is it best practice to have a door outside for underfloor access ? Who would be best to contact to do this and any idea of the costs ?
