Be ready for summer power outages
I have lived here nearly all my life. Over the years, i have accumulated all I need to stay pretty comfortable during outages. Since there are so many people new to the area, I thought I would share. All these are USB chargeable and you can find them all on amazon or walmart online.
Portable a/c - the kind that you add ice to, you can't charge it but it has a USB connector (to connect to a power bank).
Rechargeable desk fans, I found some cute 6 inch tall oscillator fans that work great!
A tablet full of downloaded movies and shows.
A stack of 20,000mAh power banks, keep everything charged. They work for your phones, tablets, fans and the little a/c. 40,000mAh are even better but expensive.
Convenient snacks.
Several ice packs (like for sore muscles) in the freezer in case you need them.
Optional: percale sheets tend to stay cooler than regular material. So do cooling blankets. Drape them over furniture to sit or lie on to help stay cool.
Adjust the number of each item you need according to the number of people you have.
I hope this helps. Stay cool!
