Whats up with female DJs constantly smiling and dancing during entire performances/videos etc?

I'm a female DJ, and I just wanted to point out my observation. It seems like most female DJs dance and prance around during the entire performance and have a constant fake smile.

If its just a transition video on ig or something, they will be prancing and smiling for the ENTIRE transition, not just when the beat drops.

If its a long melodic break in the track at a show or something, they will be dancing around even when there's no beat. It looks and feels like they are not even connected to the music and the structure of it.

Not to mention the dancing itself usually seems very off. Almost like they are trying to be exotic dancers while DJing, which doesn't even fit stylistically with the music they are playing.

I dont do any of this because i think its insincere, annoying and looks ridiculous. But it almost makes me embarassed to be a female DJ and definitely cringe every time I see it.

Does anyone else feel like this?
