Withdrawal symptoms from quitting

I’ve been taking Lamotrigine for epilepsy. Recently I was admitted to an epilepsy monitory unit to assess my condition, and of course they took me off of this, so now I’m on 0 mg.

I’ve been here for about a week and I’ve gone through some terrible emotions here. I don’t know if I can attribute it to the Lamotrigine withdrawal or just being here. I feel a layer of brain fog, extreme anxiety, fear, obsessive thoughts, a degree of hopelessness. The worst part is I have almost no appetite.

I’ve also started having seizures daily. Prior to coming off Lamotrigine, the seizures were almost controlled.

Do you guys think I’m experiencing withdrawal from Lamotrigine or I just hate being here…

Stem cell therapy being implemented

We’ve been hearing about stem cell therapy to treat epilepsy for years, in the news, in conferences, in papers, videos… but why is this still not widely implemented and used to treat epilepsy patients? If not widely implement, at least available somewhere for those of us willing to try.

It’s so frustrating to hear all this great news about how people are cured or nearly cured — but how do I access this…

It’s almost like they’re delaying this on purpose so we have to continue paying “big pharma” for their ridiculously priced medication, e.g Xcopri . It’s over $1000 a month in Canada out-of-pocket. How do they justify this…
