I'm considering ordering corms but would like to know if others in our area have had success with saffron. I'd like to grow it for my own cooking, nothing elaborate like a plan to sell my harvest. And yes, I'm mapping out my fall garden and my spring 2027 garden already.
My sister, BIL and another couple were offered a house swap for a week by another couple. For context, my sister lives in Florida, and the other couple, who live in NOLA, aren't friends but more acquaintances through their business connections, network, whom they've met in person only once a year back. My sister asked me about safety in the area of the offered home but honestly, I'm unfamiliar with the neighborhood. I don't have an address but it's near or at Canal and N. Telemachus and the old Lindy Boggs hospital. They are coming in for the NOLA Marathon in November and like the location for the race, but also plan on doing the whole tourist thing in the FQ/Marigny, etc. Thoughts and opinions on location are appreciated!
