Mask feels fine, but machine says otherwise

Hi guys,

I’ve been on the machine for a few weeks now (air sense 11), and I’m still figuring out how to do all this stuff correctly. What’s been stumping me is that the machine is always saying I need to adjust my mask, but it feels like I have a good seal. I started off with the resmed f40 but the magnets weren’t secure enough and I kept taking the mask off in my sleep. I figured that’s why I’ve been getting leaking/adjusting mask alerts, but now I switched to an f&p vitera and im still getting the same error. The new mask feels a lot better and it has hooks that keep my mask on all night, and I also don’t feel any leaks around the mouthpiece. The machine itself is relatively leak free as well; water storage container is on correctly and the hose is duck taped all over thanks to my cat, but in general has minimal leaks. The last bit of background info is that every time I do the mask fit test, I’m told I have a good seal for like 5 seconds and then I’m told I need to adjust my mask, but no tightening or loosening or readjusting changes the alert. If anyone has been in a similar situation and has any pointers it would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks and happy sleeping!
