Vanguard pistons dont move?
Curious if anyone has seen this before.
This vanguard (350777, date code has it as a 1992) will crank and move the valvetrain no problem, but has absolutely 0 compression. Stuck a screwdriver in the spark plug holes, rotated the engine by hand, and... The pistons seem to not move at all! No bent pushrods, valves operate absolutely perfectly. Engine only has about 900 hours on it
Did this engine somehow throw both connecting rods, while keeping the crank and cam intact...? How the hell would that even happen?
