Hey everyone!

Did anyone in Sydney find it particularly difficult to hear back from florists? Every other vendor, from hair and makeup to venues and photographers etc have been so quick, but trying to organise a florist has been a nightmare. I don’t even want anything that complicated, but I’m assuming my numbers are holding me up here (30 person lunch wedding).

Am I going crazy or is this a known phenomenon? Anyone have any florists you loved speaking with for a CBD wedding?!

ETA: I have a huge budget for florals equivalent to a normal size wedding as well!

I’m having a small wedding (30 people lunch vibes) in the city cbd next March on a weekday. I’m running into a repeated problem and would love some advice!

I only want hair and makeup done for myself, and because it’s a lunchtime wedding, I would need someone to travel to me at a hotel in the CBD. I would love to do the “go to the hair salon directly” route but I would need to be fully ready by 10 and it seems difficult to accommodate. Many artists I come across have minimums so won’t give me a look in which I understand!

Have any lowkey casual brides had any luck getting hair/makeup artists to come to them if they’re just one? Bonus points if work with humongous curly hair…

I am a soon to be bride who is having a very lowkey wedding, as in private lunch service then after party at a brewery sort of vibe in the inner west of Sydney.

I know I don’t want to wear white, or want to be wearing a “wedding gown” per se, and thinking along the Rachel Gilbert Francesca Dress vibes. My question is where are all the brides that didn’t wear white getting their dresses from? I mean statement pieces, embellished, or brightly coloured?

Basically just a brand that offers high quality statement dresses that I can physically try on in store? I literally don’t have a budget so not worried about price.

Grateful for any leads. Like I said, along the lines of Rachel Gilbert with a brick and mortar store somewhere in Aus, preferable Sydney! ❤️
