Nothing to do now but accept defeat

I’ve done all I can. I hate this test. I’ll take it for the second and last time on Wednesday and never think about it again. For context, I’ve been studying for two years (on and off) and have been shooting for 170+.

X vs Y

"butchered horse bones versus untouched horse bones" PT151, Section 1, Q14

Can this be simplified to "butchered v. unbutchered?" I was really confused by the word "untouched," but this answer makes so much more sense if I interpret it as 'unbutchered.' Is it fair to do this "x or not x," type of simplification with these sort of AC?

Incredibly discouraged

After scoring a 172 on a PT, I was sure I would reach my goal of 175+ for August. I decided to take a test in the 150s as I’ve heard they are more reflective of the current test, and wow, a ten point decrease. I thought I had a bad testing day, so I took pt151. Nope, not a fluke. I’m not really sure what to do now. I’m feeling incredibly discouraged. I won’t be able to take September, and I cannot fathom studying all August AND September for October. I’m running low on test content, and I’m starting to think that I’ve reached my testing limit.

Are people actually scoring in the 170s, or are the 170s a ploy created by Big LSAT?
