A question on idol logistics

First of all: HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO OUR BEAUTIFUL KAUÊ!!!!!! 🎂🥳🎉

Second of all: While watching his birthday live tonight, I noticed that Kauê is clearly videoing from his room in the STBV villa while Ale is out and about and Gabi is in an innocuous room or apartment somewhere. Which got me thinking…how much of their lives (or the lives of any active K-pop group or boyband, for that matter) is actually spent living in the intended “group” house? It was the main setting in the Santos Bravos reality show and Dream Academy, for example, but I wonder how much they are used after group debut. Do any idols live there full time or do they typically live in their own apartments? And if it’s the latter, how do they stay safe and maintain privacy from the public? Is there a “house parent” or HYBE staff whose sole job is to maintain that sort of property?

These are probably things fans don’t (and maybe shouldn’t) know about but they are just some musings from a DUAL who works in supply chain logistics as my 9-5. 😅 The thought of moving idols around while maintaining security feels like a logistical nightmare in and of itself.

US Festival Performances?

Hello! I am located in Chicago, so festivals are very much on my mind with Lollapalooza this weekend. I was very close to barricade for Katseye last year and they turned out a HUGE crowd. Do we think STBV will be appearing at Lolla or any US festivals next year?

It seems like a great way to “trial” the US market before a tour but I will definitely have to prepare myself 🥵

DIY Santos Bravos photocards!

The craftiness of a fangirl knows no bounds 😅

I have official DUAL photocards—I got Alejandro!—but there are so many gorgeous photos of this group, I felt compelled to make my own. A brief step-by-step:

  1. Save high-res photos to your photo library.
  2. Use a photo collaging app to make a split 4x6 collage with two photos.
  3. Print them as 4x6 photos at your local photo center. I printed mine at my local Walgreens.
  4. Use extra strength craft bond to glue the photos onto cardstock. I used a matte black, though something with gloss would have looked a little better.
  5. Trace the dimensions of an official photocard onto the cardstock/photo with pencil. Preferably, use an official photocard you don’t care too much about OR use the official photocard envelope like I did.
  6. Use a bypass trimmer to cut off the extra cardstock/photo to make it the appropriate size.
  7. Round the corners with a 4 mm corner punch.
  8. (Optional) Use sticker laminate to protect the whole thing and make it extra glossy.
  9. Sigh in admiration of the gorgeous Santos Bravos. ✨
