GESUCHT 1 TICKET Schalke-Real Madrid

Hallo zusammen!

Parents gave me and my brother 24hrs to pick a location. Any niche spots around Europe?

Me 20M and my brother 14M are forced to go on an affordable summer adventure. My mother decided that i should take my younger sibling for a trip and wants us to visit Rimini(Italy), cause she has this obsession with a beach, lying on the sand and stuff. TBH I feel really sceptical about this place and not sure if it's great idea budget-wise, so I asked my mother to give me a day to find an alternative.

I have a great feeling that there are some more affordable gem places in Europe which would make this wholesome family-babysitting experience a bit more remarkable. So...

Kind stranger, please, share your invaluable knowledge and help me and my brother get an experience of our lives!

Our starting points:

-Budget: 1000-1200€

-Duration: around a week(end of july)

-Location: We live in Germany(NRW) and would like to be able to get to the destination by bus or train.

-Specifics: We absolutely love exploring nature, but we handle hot weather terribly. That's why, right after talking to my mom, the very first thing I did was look into options for a trip to Eibsee. But after scrolling through Reddit, I quickly realized it’s turned into a mainstream tourist trap with inflated prices.

I’m looking for something more niche—a place where we can connect with the locals, enjoy nature, and, most importantly, something I can actually afford on my student budget. It would be awesome if the spot had some kind of lake or water place where we could go for a swim. I want my brother to see a beautiful world around us without obsessive touristic vibes.

Any advice would be helpful, maybe you recently visited some places and can share your experience or give us a hint in which direction to look for!
