Is this a problem?

Is this a problem?

Hello fellow redditors,

I am conditional on a new build townhouse and this is what the exterior would look like.

This slope on the right is where there are a few parkings and the level of the living room on the left is lower.

2 problems that I need some guidance with:

  1. The parking on the right and I am concerned that someone parking might just hit the wall.

  2. Water seeping in from where the cladding and the cement touch each other.

Are my concerns valid? any guidance would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

550k : Auckland Townhouse vs South Auckland freehold

Hello,

First home buyer here. I need some advice from experienced folks on what direction should my thinking be.

Finances, lawyers, bank, building inspector etc are all sorted.

The thing that I am finding hard to properly evaluate because of lack of experience probably is that I am getting newly built freehold townhouses in West Auckland for 550k.

At the same time, 2bd homes in Manukau City and Randwick Park also seem to be on the same table.

No kids yet. Have a partner. I work from home mostly and have to travel to city once a week only.

I am okay with the understanding that first house isn't the last house. but at the same time the urge to have house and land with backyard etc fades my senses and I find it hard to make the call between the townhouses versus the homes.

Any guidance on how I should align my thoughts on this l, I would greatly appreciate the advice.

EDIT 1: I do not have a perfect vision of the future. but rather that I would be able to pay off a 550k house in the next 4 years. And then move on to the next one. So that is a possibility.

How to buy a house

Hi,

Can someone please help me out in the steps to follow to buy a house?

I have managed to save for the deposit but have no idea what to do next. Like I know the bank is ready to approve my loan, but where to from here?

Can someone please me with the steps like

  1. Get the loan approval Doc

  2. Talk to a lawyer

  3. Talk to someone else

  4. Put an offer to someone

  5. Get it approved.

  6. Pay someone

  7. Get the docs

  8. Get the keys

  9. Possess

I know these might be newbie questions but I dont know if I can start looking for a house, put an offer myself and does thw bank pay me and I pay the house owner or someone else does. Just the process in itself would be great.

Thank you very very much in advance.

EDIT : Thank you everyone for your guidance. I will reach out to the mortgage advisor and plan things from there.
