Leather jacket care - do you condition preventively?
Do you apply conditioner periodically as preventive maintenance, even if the leather still feels soft, supple and looks healthy, or do you only condition it once it starts feeling noticeably dry or stiffer?
I’m mostly curious about higher-quality lambskin and calfskin jackets that are stored properly in a garment bag, away from sunlight and heat.
Is preventive conditioning actually beneficial, or is it better to leave healthy leather alone and only treat it when it shows signs of needing it? I was wondering about buying Saphir Nappa or Saphir dOr Lotion (could you recommend any?) - but mine L01 seems to be still buttery and soft and actually and since that im not fully convinced that I should apply some balms/creams or whatever at this moment
